Following the hype from the release of their first original song Tell Me Where You Come From, Nomad X, new London-based and internationally recognised music duo, have released their debut music video to their emotive song, Breathe.

The filming of Breathe
The duo are making a name for themselves as worldly, relatable and relevant artists who aim to reach as many people as possible, in all corners of the world, through their infectious music and their approachable demeanour. “Breathe is our take on the global human experience of grief in loss.” Alazar Kidanu, one half of Nomad X, says about the inspiration behind the song, Matt Parks, the other half of the duo added, “we wanted the person listening, no matter who or where they are listening, that we too have experienced loss… It’s impossible to avoid, but you can take comfort in knowing that you’re never alone [in grief].” The creative direction on the music video focuses on the raw and emotional depth weaved into the lyrics – the creative team behind the video were seasoned producers, Nyne and D.C and assistance from Olivia Reed.
An homage to film Noir
The black and white music video whilst adding a comforting retro vibe, also feels incredibly interpersonal. Nomad X tells us an emotional story through the song about the pains and lows of experiencing loss whilst captivating audiences through a memorable melody. The nostalgic and dramatic music video is a monumental shift from the previous release from the duo; they highlight new levels of vulnerability and depth through sheer simplicity. Ahead of their debut album, due to hit the airways in early 2025, the duo are demonstrating that they are forces to be reckoned with.
